Omega Drivers do not work on Mobility 9000
Ive tried the last 3-4 versions of the omega driver set for the Ati Radeon Mobility 9000 on my laptop (Toshiba A70). I used the driver cleaner tool as well with each install. They all installed well and smoothly but if I were to play a game, like GTA3, i would get erratic fps. Itll go smooth for half a second then freeze for a quarter of a second, then smooth again and over and over. Whereas if I used the drivers given from Toshiba, the game would run smooth. i think the drivers that come from Toshiba are based on some old old Catalyst revisions.
I tried running on CS1.6 a while ago too. I dont quite remember what was screwed up with it but i do remember that it was (sorry). But I did try both versions of OGL that came with Omega and neither work.
I also tried using that app that made the official driver sets from ATI installable on notebooks. That failed miserably as well. Completely messed up graphics on all games.
