Monitor keeps off and on(refresh quickly)

hello,
since yesterday, my monitor is going off every 3min or so as if to refresh , is this a problem of the graphic drivers or something else?. I have never had this before.
Running winXP-SP2- on Radeeon 9800 XT, 1GB-RAM.Omega2.5.90 drivers.

I had this problem but im sad to tell you that my monitor died a few weeks after I started to have this problem.

When did the issue start? Did it occur after a driver set was installed or a software change was made; or did it just start all of a sudden?
