Would you like to like to report Bugs to ATI? Or maybe make a suggestion? I started this thread
to remind and to try to help people properly report bugs with ATI drivers to their proper place
the “CATALYST Crew Program”.
First of I’d like to remind you should report any game related bug you may have to the game
developers them self’s. If you’ve got a graphics problem and you believe and/or know it to be a likely
ATI driver problem report it to ATI as well! That’s what the reporting program is for! It’s myth that to
have to be a beta tester to be able to help squash bugs. Every day even new users can help too!
I will tell you now don’t expect to be contacted after you fill out the form this feed back form after all
isn't for tech support. It’s likely they won't contact you unless they need further information. ATI uses
the reports to judge a problems impact (how wide spread and what cards setups are effected) and can
even help them find the root of a problem. It’s vital that people report the bugs they have. (Their not
mind readers you know)
This also a place to make suggestions but I remind you keep it too the point (we are all sad fluffy died
but ATI doesn’t need to hear about it) and keep neat and keep it clean. Fill out the ATI reporting in full,
as clear as possible, and give as much relevant information as you can in the space provided.
Be sure to fill out your name and please supply a valid email address. Just in case they do happen to
need to contact you.
Select your driver (should be the current official release) and select what card you are using.
This next section is a bit large so I’ll cut it up for you to better understand my descriptions.
Select the appropriate category for you problem as best you can. (Pretty self explanatory)
Select the relevant sub issue type. For this example I selected games and this is the sub issue menu
for games. Now they want you to choose what the game is using to be rendered. If you don’t know
chose unknown but I take the moment to check either on the web, the games documentation, or the
games website should be able to help you make the determination.
Select your operating system, the title and version of the application your have the issue with, your
processor, select that amount of memory you have from the drop down menu and your motherboard
chipset.
I would recommend you be sure to include…
•A list of all your installed hardware
•Your motherboard model and chipset
•Your mother board drivers version
•If applicable your operate ting system service pack level
Give them specific and clear steps they would need to take to be able to reproduce your specific
problem(s). You can also include a couple links to screen shots if possible. Not necessary but I like
to just in case they would find it useful.
Write here if you’d like to comment or have suggestions on improving the feed back program.
Your done and all you need to do is then click submit.
Hopefully you’ve found this post useful. I know some of you already know how to use the reporting
system. But, this more for many users that don’t know the form even exits or that are possibly
confused or intimated by the form it self.
Any time you need to make a report to ATI go here for the form:
