Problems with the new version of Omega drivers. new artifacts
Okay so everything was going great on my computer. I have a Radeon 9800SE(dont laugh) that is softmodded and BIOS modded and HSF modded. yeah anyway
So everything is running great. fast speeds etc etc. I was happy. then after I installed the latest driver update, I was playing Halo and noticed these tiny almost unnoticable checkerboards when you kill an eliete and melee it a few times smearing its blood around. The blood mixed with the ground made sort of a checkerboard effect. I am almost positive that this didnt happen before(though I cannot garuntee this) I installed the new drivers. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I have to delete the new drivers and go back to old ones. I dont wanna do that because I noticed a VERY nice speed increase on 3dMarks03 and FarCry after getting the new drivers.
the checkerboard pattern has ONLY happened on Halo. I havent seen it anywhere else.

Are you certain that you ran the game with AntiAliasing before? Turn off AntiAliasing if it shows up so much as to be a bother, or otherwise live with it.

Furious1 can you adjust your signature size please
DriverHeaven's policy regarding signatures states that they be no longer than 10 lines of text, or 5 lines of text if you have a signature image. If your signature has more than the allotted five lines then please shorten it by either removing less important text, or by wrapping to fit more in less lines

thats kind of off topic
Now as far as Anti-Aliasing...
I have always had Ansiotropic on whenever I can. And yeah Antialiasing was on before. Nothing changed, I just updated the drivers

mabe your pipelines are going bad because u softmodded it? i dunno, but artifacts are often caused by softmodding and biosmodding etc... try to lower your overclock and unsoftmod it. see if that helps.

oh now this is interesting
I didnt have it overclocked at all
and the checkerboarding is so unnoticeable it almost looks like it was intentional blending...only under close examination and playing the game on my brothers laptop(which has a Geforce on it) did i realize that it really was a bug.
The interesting part:
it starts to clear up the more i overclock(to a point obviously)
i OC it up 30 mhz and it fades away quite a bit.
I need to test this more
In any case, this did not happen with the old drivers and it was soft modded. When I say old drivers I mean a previous version of Omega Drivers
Oh yeah when I run it with PixelShader 1.4, it starts to clear up too.
