Does forcing PS 2.0 work with all games?

In the last few versions of the Omega drivers with the Radlink, there is an option letting you choose
which Pixel Shaders to use. 1.0...1.1...1.3...1.4...2.0 etc. etc.

Seems a pretty obvious question...Does turning this option on say 2.0 affect all games, or only
those coded for it. i.e. DX9 based games?

Thanks.

That's what I figured.
I can tell a huge difference in FarCry with it forced...and I thinkPainkiller looks better
..not sure though...

Be great when they make graphics cards that actually generate their own lighting and shading effects
regardless of what the game/software manufacturer did. Maybe the Radeon XXV10000VXX?
