Need Driver for Radeon IGP 345M
A friend of mine has an HP ZE5470US notebook with a ATI Radeon IGP 345M graphics chip. Has anyone with similar graphics had good luck with one of the recent Omega drivers? He is having trouble playing FPS games. Thanks for the reply.

Welcome to DH
Omega should be fine or you can also the Mobility Modder that will enable you to use the official ATi Catalyst drivers on your notebook

I have a similar laptop, but the same IGP.
You have to use the mobility modder for original Catalysts. Even then, I had to manually install the drivers through the Device Manager (I don't know if you still have to since his last update). After installing them manually, I just executed the Control Panel installation and poof. Catalysts onboard

Catalyst Drivers
Are you saying the Omega drivers are the best ones to use for notebooks or the original ATI drivers? Thanks.

Best?
I don't know which are the best, because I've never tried Omega's on the Notebook. The best way to find out is to just test them both

Guys, I made a mistake with the last version of the modtool (2.0 and 2.0.a)
I made a version 2.0.b and sended it to YzeOne and someone else as well. I'm awaiting their feedback, if it's good i'll release it.
If you want to test it as well, mail me at patje@driverheaven.net

I've heard good things about these drivers but my question is:
I have a Sony K115B. When I try to run games such as Joint Opps or Unreal tournament 2004. Gameplay is very poor and fps drops dramaticly. All Radeon settings have been turned down to "performance" and all in-game settings are on low and yet the game is still performing badly. This is also effecting other games. Running Dungeon Keeper 2 caused black lines to appear over the game and black parts on models. The specs of my machine indicate that it is clearly capable of running these games. Out of all games, Half Life and Starcraft seems to be the only one that works , but I want to be able to play the others.
Would using the mod program on the driver set from ATI on my laptop fix this problem or would it only bump up performance a little.
Thanks for your time and I hope you can help me.

it could be both actually, depending on your current drivers, if they are really old, the new catalyst drivers could fix a lot of bugs you are experiencing. Performance increase is unpredictable and you will have to check for yourself.
If you need help, just let me know, but all is explainend at www.driverheaven.net/patje

Thanks for your help.
