Omega drivers don't recognize my monitor

Well, actually they only recognize it sometimes. But without it recognizing my monitor it has no idea what my max refresh rates are. Usually, in the control panel, under Monitor, I can choose "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". But with the omega drivers, it is greyed out most of them time and I cant select it.

Your monitor has its own drivers, or you could use a tool like RefreshForce to select manual values. The graphics card driver does not affect that function, but perhaps the monitor driver got set back to "default monitor" by the operating system when you switched card driver.

i sometimes get this, but it only happens if i boot my computer without the monitor turned on, so when you turn on your pc, make sure you turn on the monitor too and hopefully itll be recognised. i have no idea why this happens, anyone any ideas?

Did you try reinstalling your monitor drivers after installing the Omegas? Might work. Every time I flash my BIOS I have to reinstall my sound card drivers. Don't know why, but I do. Try reinstalling your monitor drivers AFTER installing the Omegas.

yup tried it. i had to install by using the inf file rather than actually going to the monitor and loading the drivers in the device manager because no monitor is showing up there. its driving me nuts though.

Thats doesn't make since becouse I have two rigs I've tested them on and never had that problem .... one auto detects the drivers as they are built in xp and the other i maually load the drivers.

what monitor is this per chance?
