Very simple driver question

I have only owned True "Built by" ATI products. I am thinking of getting a bare minimum Saphire card that fully supports DX9.0.

Can Omega and ATI drivers work with cards that are not Built by ATI?

Now that I think about it who makes the best "powered by" card?

Thanks all.

Yes the drivers will work fine. Cant comment on who makes the best card as I only ever owned a sapphire 9700Pro and a built by ATi 9800Pro. I'm happier with the 9800Pro of course cos its faster

It is really only a matter of opinion on "who" makes the best after market card. But if I had to put a vote to it.....it would most likely be Saphire. They seem to work more closely with ATI and tend to keep there cards almost identical to the specs that ATI puts out. It is really hard to tell the difference between a Saphire and a Built By ATI card.

You could also start a thread with a poll to find out what everyone thinks is the best after market card.....might give you a better idea.

forgot about that. Apparently Sapphire make some of the pcb's for ATi so they are just about identical cards.

I had a feeling Sapphire was probably the top powered by company. A lot of people own them. I am in no hurry and may try and find a built by ATI on ebay or something.
