EVE Online makes other games slower?

Hello all,

I reformatted my computer and installed Catalyst 4.3 about a month ago. I also installed UT2k4 and it worked great - got an average framerate of 85ish at 1280x960 No AA/AF. Now, I just recently installed a game called EVE Online (www.eve-online.com) and I love the game, play it with 4x AA and 16x AF. However, I started up UT2k4 and now I'm getting absolutely horrible framerates. Some of my other games are also showing this. The only change I made to my hard drive was EVE. Is it possible this game is causing a problem? If not, what could be? (Yes I checked to make sure AA and AF were off.)

Did you do a "visual" check if AA/AF was off or at the 4x/16x settings after disabling them? Sometimes it takes a reboot for the changes to take effect, highly annoying.

You may want to check if the install caused your drive to get fragmented really badly. I had an install of Jedi Knight 2 which caused 75% fragmentation once.

Yea I did both a visual check and a reboot which didn't seem to help. However, the install did cause a 23% fragmentation, so I will be fixing that asap and see if that helps.
