Nice idea!
I always try to cover ALL cards, but I can't be perfect
Some cards from some strange manufacturers may get by and not work.
Any card ID posted here that is not currently supported, will be added in a future release.
Thanks TwistedMetal
BTW, this is the ONLY info I really need to add support:
Card Manufacturer and name + DeviceID:
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Device ID: 4e44

Yeah, I've seen game developers running into problems when trying to help the customers by automatically identify cards as well. Becauase sometimes a manufacturer manages to screw up a cards device ID. Something that seems to be a bit more frequently ocurring in the OEM and laptop businesses. And of course, nine times out of ten the game maker or the drivers get all the blame.

one thing to note though its not omega's fault if thier not in there to begin with he's only working with whats ati put's out and then adds/and makes chages from there
so if you not supported by omegas your probubly not supported by the standard ati's eather... just a tought

Thank You, yea I know all that is needed is the Device ID, but it will only come up as RADEON SERIES, if you proved all the info, then the actual card brand and everything will be listed. I am just picky I guess. But, it really doesn't matter.
If video card is already supported and says RADEON SERIES, then send all the info to get the actual brand name and model listed.
It took me awhile to make this because I put everything in alphabetic order.

Well done to the both of you TM & OD.
Specs:
Card Manufacturer:
Sapphire Technologies Ltd.
Radeon 9600 Series
Device ID: 4150
I previously had Omega drivers installed, but alas even though it looks as if the card is already supported....it crashed.
Thank you OD for the time consuming work in making things better. You are appreciated.
Thank you again Twisted for starting this thread.

i have a sapphire radeon 9700 non pro with the bios flashed to mufu's pro bios as my card came with the samsung 2.8ns ram which was supposed to be only on 9700 pros at the time, I dont know what u mean by supported by omegas but i have been getting a few crashes since installing your omega drivers based on the catalyst 4.1's, I was wondering why you have taken out the softmod hack in the omegas 4.2's as maybe this is causing my instabilites. Anyway I suppose my cards proper title is
Sapphire Radeon 9700 non pro ?
Device ID: 4e44
Vendor ID: 1002
Subsystem ID: 0002
Subsystem Vendor ID: 1002
By the way the instabilities could also be caused by a ram issue im having at the moment, but my card did crash yesterday and had to be reset, which has never happened before.

It's the same as a 9700 Pro now. Did this problem start after the flash?

Nope the flash was done like 10 months ago or something, Only seemed to happen recently, I know for a fact that either 1 or both of my rams chips are damaged because I ran www.goldmemory.cz for 7 and a half hours and it failed at 8 locations and this might have caused the graphics card to fail?
The crashes I have been getting from the memory are very different from the crash I got from the graphics card for example, I did not get a bugcheck or any sort of message in the event log (does vpu recover have a log anywhere?) from the graphics card crash the vpu recover did seem to bring the video back and I had to restart. It did only happen once so it might be a one off or possibly a heat issue arising. In that case I do have a arctic cooling vga cooler ariving tommorow so i'll know by then, and i'm gonna test my ram individually in different slots tonight, as to narrow the problem down if it does happen again.

For Darkside[236]
According to the documentation at the ATI web site, if the vendor ID and subsystem ID are 1002, the card is "Built By ATI".

So if the drivers read as being "Radeon 9600 Series" we know it's supported.. BUT if we still post the info.... possibly the omega drivers will identify it as specifically lets say "ATI Radeon 9600" and not SERIES
This is my Built BY ATI Radeon 9600 non pro 128mb

Some of them are impossible to do, because the vendor is using the exact IDs as the orginial ATI cards.

1002 is ATI's ID. If it's 1002 then it's doesn't have an ATI chip in it.

Quite the opposite, IF the vendor number is 1002, then is a TRUE built by ATI card OR is a third party card with an original ATI bios flashed.
Some vendors just re-pack cards with their own name but they are really built by ATI.
Anyway, for all of you, if your card works with the Omega Drivers and it says "Radeon xxxx SERIES", IT'S ALREADY SUPPORTED.
The card will work perfectly fine even if it doesn't say a 3rd party vendor name and I'M NOT going to add ALL INDIVIDUAL cards and call them by their exact names, too much work and it does absolutely NOTHING, other than have the correct name.
This thread was made to ADD cards that DO NOT install normally with the drivers, like some third party cards that have an ID number not currently available on ATI drivers, like is the case with some laptops.
Hope that explains this
