Default Post Why?

Why did you get rid of the Advanced Tabs? I got the Direct 3D and OpenGL back but I dunno how to get the rest back.

Something must have gone wrong in the installation...Run the "Install Advanced Tabs" from the start menu, and see if it helps. I always hated how ATI changed the way the tabs installed with the Catalysts.

Cyborg,You do an excellent job with your drivers, but I don't know, there is something wrong with this new Omega/Plutoniums,this is the first time I run into problems with one of your releases.
Upon installing them, I lost ALL D3d acceleration functions, they are all greyed out.
When I run the DX Diag,AGP Texture,DX Draw andD3d acceleration functions are all unavailable. If i run the Smart gart utility,EVERYTHING is OFF and greyed out,and I mean EVERYTHING+ I cannot do any retest because that option is also blocked.
I tried reinstalling the previous Omega's XK 1.1.07 but it didn't fix anything,It stayed the same way,and everything was working fine with your previous release, before I installed the Xk 1.1.18.I tried reinstalling DX,and it did not fix it either. The only way I was able to fix it was by doing a system restore.
Can you tell me what went wrong?,I want to use your latest Omega/Plutoniums

I am also confused. I'll need to do further testing, maybe you should give the WHQL 6094 drivers a shot and see if they fix it.

That is because the catalysts are a pain to uninstall....

Someone should rewrite a Catalyst uninstall procedure, they are different drivers.

Angelo,I always have those kind of problems with catalysts, official or betas, Cyborg or not, no matter, if you do a clean format, the drivers will work fine.

There must be a way to clean uninstall these drivers. Anyone?

ATI we like the tabs, but why not one package, like before? because of the upcoming cards?

EDIT: I haven't had time to test them yet, but i was just wondering if they fixed the random crashes with warcraft III, with the 7500. I want the 6118 but if they don't work with War3, ill probably stick with Windows update drivers.

/Regards, sCoTcH-

I updated the uninstall procedure somewhat, and there are a few new tips there. If you completely rid yourself of the old drivers you have a better shot at installing the new ones correctly. Give that a try.

Hello there,

Always nice to see some new drivers

Got one question before i install them

Should i uninstall my Refreash rate fix ? then install it after i install the new O/P's

Or can i just leave it installed ?

Dual-monitor still doesn't work quite right if you have a non-PnP monitor (ie: HDTV) connected.

I want to run it at 1280*720/60Hz, but for some reason the secondary is stuck at 800*600, which causes any resolution higher than that to use virtual desktop. It works fine on ATI's own drivers. Please fix this!

I'm also still stuck with the 6117 drivers and the older control-tabs because once I install the new ones the Gamma bug returns and it defaults to 1 again.

Well I think we should wait for the Catalyst 2.2, they should help some people, and maybe finally get the CPanel working.

There seems to be no alpha blending acceleration for the desktop on these drivers. Thus only getting 20 on XPBench.

Also, is it ok/wise to use Rage3d Tweak alongside these drivers?

Bugs: War3 pointer still fucked up

Speculation: nice for d3d, worse than untweaked 6118 for opengl. Tested d3d for Diablo 2 and opengl for Counter-strike (mainly)

Default Post Does the AIW WORK?

Hi Cyborg one problem that i've encountered after installing your latest drivers and past catalyst drivers on my 8500DV is that gaming(3D part) seem to work well but my AIW feature doesn't as soon as i hit TV it starts and reboots my system or just recloses leaving the audio on, i'm using the 6125wdm's tried the 6118,s and does the same i've tried the MCM 7.5 7.6 7.7 and the same, ever since using these catalyst drivers it's become a problem for me can you please help resolve the problem since the Capture Forum is just DEAD!!!! Thanks..

i just downloaded them and I must say: THEY ARE AMAZING !!!!!

they solved my NeverwinterNights - freezing - problem and they are muc faster than ati's original catalyst 2.1 !!!!

thank you so much, cyborg!

I also testet them with WC3, Counter-Strike and 3dMark2001 SE, they work great and very fast!

I think the problems of many users are because they didn't uninstall there previous drivers properly!

Default Post Opera 6 Bug

Yup; I got it here too.

It only really started with the 6118 driverset. Opera would hang if there was large network activity loading up a page with plenty of images/columns of text whilst scrolling using the mouse wheel/scrollbars (sometimes even without scrolling).

Opera would stop, explorer stops (inc every other proggy) the machine unresponsive to any commands (even ctrl-alt-delete) except for a period of 20 or so seconds you can move the mouse (ie mouse pointer is still updated).

After 20 seconds you get a beep; like the buffer overflow beep and it all freezes. A hard-reset is required.

Am using XP with SP1 beta; 6118 driverset on Radeon 8500, Audigy (latest drivers), Intel 10/100 Pro (latest drivers) and Opera 6.03 - 6.04 (which didn't used to crash). I've reinstalled Opera several time thinking it was corrupted didn't think the display drivers couold be the source but I guess hearing others have the same problems is reassuring ^_^ I might just revert back to older than 6118 drivers.

[eep ammendment to last post: I'm running 1.4 Athlon ocked to 1.6Ghz on an Epox 8K7A+ with IDE Highpoint Raid (latest drivers)]

Hope this description helps ATI fix things; and I apologise in advance if it doesn't belong here.

Reg

Default Post Drivers download problem...

Hi there. nice site, nice place, nice work but the "automatic redirection to mirror site" doesn't function, niether 1st time nor others.. It launches me to the "homepage" of the driver..
Is there any solution to get the it working ?

by the way, why I came here is trying to find something to make work my damn Club3D Radeon 7500 in WinXP. Any other drivers I tried don't work.. Do u know if this one will do ?

Thanks in advance.

Default Post I can't download...

I'd like to download and try this driver set out for myself, but I can't. When I click the download link on the drivers page the auto selecting mirror thing comes up but then just takes me back to the drivers page. So it makes me go around in a circle every time. Is there somewhere else I could get them?

Cyborg, I've used your drivers forever until recently for some reason the drivers seems to lower my FPS in direct3d like mad, I don't know how.

I installed the leaked 6118's, and they worked fine, so I don't know what's up.
