Best driver for my 9600XT

I have a 9600XT made by sapphire and all the drivers iv try'd to date suck. I was wondering what the best driver for my card is iv tried cat 4.1, Omega and DNA, none of them impressed me. Maybe an older cat would be good but I don’t know where to get older versions.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey, can you quantify the statement "none of them impressed me" ?

In terms of feature sets the latest ones are of course the best.
In terms of stability the verdict is still out on 4.2 but 4.1 gets the highest rating
In terms of performance its all a matter of personal taste, but surf the web for some sites that do performance comparisons of all the CAT's. Firingsquad.com is one web site I can think of that does CATALYST reports every time we release one.

Anyways older drivers are of course availalbe on ati.com here
http://www.ati.com/support/products/...usdrivers.html

let me know if I can help in any other way

Not impressed ?
problem ofcourse is; what do you expect from them ?
first thing that should be in tip top shape is your system,
is it tweaked to perform the tasks you need? & is it up to the task you ask of it ?

expect never miracles from drivers, that won't happen!
if you need a 30% gain in driverperformance better look elsewhere.

since i have an Ati chipset the drivers where always capable, & some driver releases did some jobs better than others..
CoD problem was very fast fixed by Cat. maker & co, and I personally have had no other probs.

I also wish my rig would run double the speed in games, but can it? nah...
12565 in 3dm2k1 will prob.be the max until i upgrade or start overclocking but that won't happen either..

System:
MoBo = Shuttle AK32a Via drivers: 451v
