9600xt and 1600x1200 resolution

I have a Asus 9600XT and a KDS monitor that will do 1600x1200@65. When I set the display settings to 1600x1200 it seems to stay in 1280x1024(maybe 960) and it scrolls the desktop off the screen, it does the same with games but I cannot scroll, I just get the upper left portion of the screen when running games in 1600x1200. At first I thought it was the monitor because it is a new one replacing a broken that did do 1600x1200. I have another computer with a GeForce3 Ti 200 and I connected that computer to this monitor and it does do 1600x1200. I tried the 9600XT on a different monitor and that monitor went to 1600x1200 using the same card that won't do it on my KDS monitor. I downloaded the monitor driver and tried that even though they recommend using the Plug and Play driver that comes with XP. I also have tried the Microsoft Radeon driver, the ATI catalyst 3.1 and 4.1, the ASUS driver for this card, and the omega drivers 3.1 and 4.1 with the same results. One thing I notice is that 65Hz is not a choice of resolutions.

Anyone else have this problem or know what I can do to get 1600x1200 to work in this configuration?

Thanks,

Drognan

....9600np here and i'm able to do 1920x1440..... Check for a driver for your monitor and install it.... or turn of DCC in the advanced options..... as it appears that the computer is finding that the monitor doesn't actually support that res....so it's enabling virtual desktop res..... just check on KDS's website for a driver for your exact model of kds monitor.... and install it...

What is DCC? I don't seem to see that in the options.
