Radeon 9800SE @ Pro, screen went black ?

Hi, I've got a problem.
When I install the OmegaDrivers 2514 with Softmod on my Radeon 9800 SE (which should be working with 8 Pipes) after the reboot of my system, it takes 30 seconds and then my screen went black. When I install it without the Softmod, after 30 Secs my screen turns off and immediately returns on - > no problems. Is this a bug or are the 8 Pipes not working correctly? When I install the Catalyst drivers and tried the softmod via rivatuner, it says that the softmod worked but I still got 4 Pipes activated. Does the softmod via Rivatuner only work with a specific Catalyst version ?
I've also tried version 2504 from Omegadrivers, It doesen't work with them too.

My System: Windows XP with SP1 installed, Enermax 353 W, Asus A7N8X Deluxe, Athlon XP 1700+ @ 2800+

greetings

Update: I haven't used the Rivatuner method correctly. When I use it correctly, I've got the same problem.

That means your video card doesnt work with the softmod.

happened to me with a 9500NP, try the bios flash > 9800pro, I've heard a bunch of success stories.

I don't know how to do that .
If you can tell me where I can find a flash tool and the biosversion I need, I could try it. But I also need the old Version (can I backup it?), if this Method doesn't work too.

the bios should be on the omegadrive website(www.omegacorner.com) or you could try www.ocfaq.com. Not sure how to do it tho. Should be info on how to flash it on this forum or in the ocfaq one. good luck
