I think the error my be exclusive to your card. My 9500 pro got a similar error with the 3.9 Omega's. The drivers still worked flawlessly. If you are able to continue without any problems then you are all good. The 3.9 did the same thing on only my card but not other cards I used it for. It was wierd.

when you did your install did you choose the soft mod or the normal drivers?

I would go with the normal drivers first then if no troubles try the soft mod. With a 9700Pro you won't see much of a difference

I chose the regular drivers, did not use the softmod ones...This is a powercolor 9700 pro, maybe it just won't mesh with this driver...Motherboard is an abit ic7-g, seems to be working ok now.. so who knows...

but the error was still there, and then the no guid error showed up at the end of the install...

Cursed Newegg and their tempting cheap Power Color 9700Pro!!!!
I installed the drivers and have the exact same card. Got mine about 1 week ago. My chipset is kt-333, but I have the exact same card. Don't know whats causing your problem, but those drivers work fine with that card. I read that supposedly there are some small issues with that card if your AGP Voltage is set to 1.5, should be set to 1.6. Doubt it will that type of problem, but stranger things have happened.

My abit board is supposedly notorius for under voltage... So I will try to bump up the agp voltage..I had to install the catalyst 4.1ati drivers to get it to work right.. i will uninstall them in a few days and retry the omegas!

Don't worry, that was an error on my part, is just that you didn't selected 3D profiler in the installer and I forgot to add a "value' for it, but the drivers work just fine.
BTW, that only happened on the Cat3.10 based Omega drivers, not the new Cat4.1 based ones.
