Omega driver installation problems

Help! I'm the proud owner of a brand new Sapphire Radeon 9600XT and I can't get these Omega (or DNA) drivers to work! I have no problem installing Catalyst 4.1... but when I install the Omega drivers and reboot my system, nothing happens. I don't see any "test" screens that the installing said would happen on reboot, and there are no tabs for Omega's ATI control panel where it should be. And yes, I did uninstall ATI's control panel first before installing the Omega drivers. I then visited the sticky thread here re: installing drivers for n00b, so I installed Omega on a "fresh" system. Same thing. I'm confused what's going on. Does Omega require Catalyst to be installed first? Please help! Thanks :-)

Oops, I think I figured out what happened. First of all, I tried the Omega 3.10 drivers and they worked fine. Then I installed Omega 4.10 on top, but what I had previously selected was Soft-Mod 9700/9800 instead of Normal Omega Driver. I guess I didn't realize that I had a 9600XT! My bad!

Anyway, could someone kindly point me to some threads on softmodding the 9600XT? Thanks~

There are no soft-mods for the 9600-series, as they are made on a chip design exclusive to their own line. One less thing that could fuss.

For one DNA's are mosly omega rips, DNA's do not support Sapphire 9600XT's it's a known issue...
