Default Post Plutonium X43 Special Edition HERE!

Well the Plutonium X43 S.E. is here! GET IT NOW!

Here's what it is, the Plutonium XP 6.1a driver (6043 Based) with the 6071 OpenGL ICD. It has 1280x960 working, as well as 1400x1050 working at 75/85hz.

It is a pure driver, and contains NO utilites, etc. Just the driver. It does however include a nice Installer . File size is 9.7mb.

Check it out, and post any comments/questions/issues in this thread.

Keep in mind. This driver is for absolute STABILITY!

Great, I am looking forward to some feedback, I think most people won't try them cause they are based on an older set, but I love them.

I had problems loading up SS:SE with these drivers, the screen went black and the program stopped responding. Back to the Omega/Plutoniums for me... not that this is such a bad thing. They worked fine with AvP2 and RTCW. I did get the infamous AvP2 texture corruption though, even with Z-mask disabled.

Weee.....downloading now. Gonna try them in a bit. Cant wait. Cant wait to see how they work in Morrowind and JK2 since those are the games i play right. Or rather would play, in the case of Morrowind, if it didnt run like sh*t. Guess it's time for a new comp.

I've tried this link several times and no sign of the X43SE. The only downloads available for xp are X1.0.71 and XP 7.02.43. I've cleaned out my internet cache and Ctrl/refresh several times. Your news page says the X43SE's are available but where?

thanks candyman you rock !!!!!!!!

ive tested these drivers and they perform well, I dont really bench drivers but play games with them and everything is just as good as your last joint driver cyborg but I like the windows performance, its even more stable than the last set. they keep getting better and better.

to think before I saw your sets I was about to give up on this card and get an Nvidia card... ATI should pay you and OMEGA money for this stuff... you keep their customers for them.

dont STOP MAKING THEM and PLEASE develop for the new Matrox card when its out and popular .... i think alot of people will be getting this card. (not that I want you to stop ATI drivers...just like to have alot of options )

thanks for a great set, smooth install, nice performance and overall the best stability yet.

jcastill: Let us know how this driver runs on Morrowind for you. I get ok performance now, with a wee bit of stutters here and there outdoors in towns when there is a lot going on and I am using official 6071s. I suspect these won't help much but hey it never hurts to try.

Oh and yes, Cyborg and/or please develop for the Parhelia when that comes out. I like Matrox and more than likely will get this card at some point. Just not sure if I should wait and see if they do a version with a tuner and all that. :O Decisions Decisions.

Well they are a combo-file set, and they do have some tweaks, but not ones that jump out at you.

Have been playing Morrowind with these for 3 days and have been able to play smoothly without using the NOCD crack. So it least for me with a Radeon 8500 they work much better than the beta 6071's for me.

Very good set of drivers. They are both stable and fast. They work great on GTA3, DN:MP, JK2 and with NeoRageX (playing King of Fighters 2001). There is some slight texture problems that I can see in JK2, but i guess it is because of the OGL dll you used. I find they run better than the XK 1.0.71a and your previous X71. Very good.
