Why do omega drivers install 2 adapters?

Where when I install Omega drivers, 2 display adapters are always installed? A primary and secondary?

That should be the case even with the official ATi drivers. As long as you have an ATi card that supports dual monitors, you SHOULD have a primary and secondary adapter.
