Great thread. I'd beinterested in how they perform in D3D games as compared to the Omegas
3.7 based 2.4.78's.

Havent benched marked them yet, but Visual quality and overall appearance is .... as usual .... The BEST!!! Even if I loose some FPS, its its better than the real deal. Thanks OMEGA!!

It's probably my card's fault but every other Omega driver gives me horrible artifacting or Alt-Tab glitching in most of my D3D games. This after following the installation for noobs sticky every time, too.

I do have the stock cooler on my AIW 9700, though. As soon as I get the money I'm going to replace it, maybe that's the problem.

well, I had this problem with Cat 3.10 where i lost 1600 3dmark2001 points, and the gameplay on halo and other games was good, omega 3.10 drivers solved it so its a great great set of drivers ^^

Usually the big boost is Image Quality, but it looks like some people are getting pretty heft framerate boosts, too (Like Shadow Lady).

Thumbs Up!

Been using 3.9 and 3.10 Omegas without trying out the officials in between. Hope to stay on that track. Many thanks to Omegadrive and all parties involved in the additional tools, and lets not forget the download hostings and mirrors either. Merry christmas and a happy new year to you all.

i've had problems with my monitor display messing up with this set. i've always used omegas sets and have only had problems with the 3.7 and now the 3.10 sets. i went right back to the 3.9 and the problem went away. i've said something in other posts, but got no response. i'll just wait for the next ones to come out. usually the sets after an issue i have get fixed. i havent tried installing the generic drivers yet which when i get a little more time after the busy holidays i will give a try. i think i resorted the 3.7 generic ati set and those worked fine. my laptop likes this set so far though. though i just saw someone have a problem running them on battery, so i may pull it outta my bag and boot it up to make sure.

I have used both ATI and Omega and they both have their good points. I am starting to lean more toward the Omegas as of late. I found the official ATI 3.10's made everything very dark with default settings. The Omegas were much brighter and games seem a lot cleaner/crisper if you know what I mean.

I've got a notebook running Radeon Mobility 9600 128mb. When trying to play some of my more modern games it used to lock up the system. So, in responce I wen't to my notebook manu. and they (from their site) linked to ATIs cats 3.10. Downloaded, wen't to install, said it couldn't find an ATI product. I did a little more research, turned out that ATI don't support their own mobility chipsets (wtf?) and then come across Omegas version of the cats 3.10. Installed and they worked perfectly. Solved the problem I was having and made everything faster compared to the preinstalled jobby. Unfortunatly, I discovered last night, Omegas cats 3.10 do not work when im running the notebook from its battery opposed to when running it from the mains. I don't know why, of course, but either way I can't say they worked 100% for me because what use is a laptop you cant use on the move

Anyway, I'll be getting in touch with the notebook Manu. tomorrow and giving them abuse! I may go give ATI some abuse too :\

Its times like this I wish I went with the nVidia GO solution. Yes it may have given me a reduction in performance but atleast it would have fecking worked >

Official Cat 3.10 were a good deal slower than 3.9 for me. Omega's 3.10 are back up where the FPS used to be. I do have more Neverwinter Nights BSODs with any 3.10 set than with 3.9, though.
