Cool! Radeon Omega Drivers for Win 2k/XP/9x/ME (Cat 3.10)

The new drivers are here along with a bunch of changes:

What's New?
* Based on the Official Catalyst 3.10 drivers. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Fixed the setup issues once and for all by re-writing the ATI setup INIs from scratch. This was tested on a LOT of cards and they worked perfectly, if you still have problems please E-Mail me.(2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Updated the profiler utility to the latest version with OC support included. (2k/XP)
* Removed RadClocker from the package (petition by the author). (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Added the STRETCH screen option for Digital Flat Panel monitors and laptops. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Added support for HDTV resolutions. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Changed some of the default Omega settings. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Fixed the Dual Monitor/ATI Control Panel problems. (2k/XP/9x/ME)
* Added 1400x1050@60Hz for FPD monitors and laptops. (2k/XP/9x/ME)

That's all I can remember along the way, hope you enjoy!

Get them at my site or DriverHeaven's download page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This set will be my LAST set of drivers for Win9x/ME, I suggest to everybody who still uses 9x/ME as their OS to think about upgrading, there are MANY advantages going up to XP. Also, don't E-Mail me about this matter, I will NOT answer.

What does the stretch screen option for LCD monitors do? Does it only make a smaller image bigger?

I ask because it would also be useful to force 3D games to display at a lower resolution surrounded by a black border to match the native resolution of the display. That way, games won't be distorted on LCD monitors that automatically stretch images to fit 1280x1024 resolution.

No overclocking utility?!!! Or is it just Radclocker that has been removed?

I really liked Radclocker. Is it possible to install Radclocker as a standalone and have them
work correctly with these Omegas?

The OC is now integrated in the Profiler.
BTW, yes, you can use Rad Clocker separately.

I dont know whether it is the 3.10 driver set or the tweaks you made, but I got 10 extra FPS in Americas Army's SF Hospital map. Now that rocks! Great job, keep em coming

i hope these are better than the previous drivers...i followed the instructions to the letter removing control panel and on the advice on omega homepage left the display driver to be overwritten suffice to say it corrupted a load of my files and lost my tcp/ip settings so have spent the day formatting ...will wait for some feedback b4 i try these

Hey Omega

What was the dual monitor/ cntrl panel ati problem. I have dual monitors (9700 AIW and 9100 PCI) and my computer would hard lock just about every time i accessed the ati control panel. Is this the same problem that is fixed? I hope so!!!

The problem was related to my drivers ONLY. the CP would not show up correctly when 2 monitors where connected, now is fixed, nothing to do with your problem.

yo omega does this fix the resolution problems? like when i change resolution the refresh rate is bad and i cant see the whole screen so than i need to move my mouse to the corners to move the screen -_- will i be able to use a higher resolution than 1024x768 without my screen going insane?

Chaos' mirror now fixed and working.. Or at least, its got a file of size 16,456,616bytes..

Don't know if thats the right size, but its big enough to be... :P

Downoading it myself now..

Shame about being on dialup :/
If only I'd known about them earlier today! Would have waited rather than grab the 3.9 based ones :P

Ah well. You win some, you lose some.
Was fun getting past the mobility bug.

Looking forward to seeing them work well in ~checks~ argh
