BSOD with 9600 Pro and latest Omega drivers :(
Folks,
I'm new to these forums as well as Radeon cards and Omega drivers, but not pc's so please take it easy. I installed the drivers last night on XP Pro only to be met by an ugly BSOD. Safe mode wouldn't start either... simply listed a bunch of drivers and stopped. I had to start in VGA mode and re-install old drivers that came with the card to get going again. OmegaDude... can you or somebody else please advise. BTW... I read many pages here before posting. Ta muchly. |

first thing would be your system spec's
and welcome to DH.....you will find help here usually fairly quickly ![]() I highly recommend you give Driver Cleaner a try to clean up all your old drivers.... |

Chaos,
Thanks for the reply and welcome. I've seen your 'happy smiling' face on many posts here. My system is P4 2.4GHz, 512MB ram, Gigabyte 8SQ800 Ultra mobo (yeah, I know... kinda unusal), tonsa disk space etc. I'd be a little surprised if there's odd drivers hanging around but I'll give it a go. Also have NAV (disabled during game play of course) and PestPatrol running. Last edited by 4Eyes; Oct 30, 2003 at 10:10 PM. |

just curious if Driver Cleaner helped at all with your card. What company makes your 9600 Pro ? When you installed Omega's drivers which option did you select during the install process?
