Sad Mobility IGP320M Modded to Cat 3.5??

I have just modded my ATI 320M Drivers with the Cat3.5 Drivers.
Now when I check the chip set it states ATI Radeon 9000 (350Mhz).
Has anyone ran this configuration without issues?
Is there a better driver more secure driver to use?
Should I step it down to the Cat3.2 for more stability?
Not sure how stable the 320M and the Cat3.5 driver set is. I do not want to fry my IGP.
If anyone could give me some feed back about this I would be grateful.

Hi dark J

Welcome to the last place you'll ever need!!

well, i don't know what modded drivers u used, but i want them! going from a igp to m9000!!

no serious, have you tried downloading the latest catalyst set (3.7) and used the mobility modder (www.driverheaven.net/patje) and then try to install them. If that don't work you can try omega's drivers (or vice versa)

Let me know if that helped!

Hats off to you for creating this cool modder

Hi Patie,
Yesterday I did use your great modder along with the Cat3.5 drivers on my hp ze4325us which is an ATI 320M Mobility U1 –After using your modder and the Cat3.5 I can now run Battlefield 1942. The install went with out a hitch. System is up and running with no errors yet. The only question I have is; if this IGP is now over clocked how stable is the IGP and are there any concerns I should have? I would hate to blow up my processor.
It does state in the DXDAIG that the driver is now the Radeon 9000 at 350Mhz.

Thanks for you help and way to go on the modder,

DJ

That's strange,

Well i can tell you, the drivers should not "overclock" the card so it shouldn't blow up, and it is very strange that it shows as a mobility radeon 9000. there is no reference to mobility 9000 whatsoever when installing the IGP driver.
i don't get it. Is DX the only tool/program that specifies a mobility 9000 or are there other programs/tools/games that say it's not an IGP?

Ok, Then if there is no over clocking going on it must be that DX thinks it is a Radeon 9000. I have not tested with any other tools. What are the best tools to this out with? I will test later today and post findings. Also, I will see if I can get a screen shot for you to look over.

Thanks Patje,
DJ
