arrow BIG problem installing m9000 drivers

I recently had a mobility 9000 die on me a couple of weeks ago and got a new one sent to me. The card works fine whenever drivers aren't installed. But as soon as i install drivers i get the error "could not perform a drawing operation". Most of the time this error doesn't show up because my computer completely freezes. I tried installing almost every driver availble for it. Including the omega and dell drivers. I've completely ran out of ideas on how to fix this problem. I installed the newest version of directx and flashed the graphics card's bios. Ever single driver i install has the same problem. Thanks for any help!

specs:
Inspiron 8200
1.6ghz
40 gig hd
768 MB ram
xp pro
radeon mobility 9000

you can try as following:

1. deinstall actual divers from control panel
2. boot safe mode and use DH Driver Cleaner
3. boot normal and check if VGA Device is set in the Hardware control - if not deactivate - reactivate - reboot
4. install latest omega drivers for you card
5. reboot once in VGA/Safe mode again ...
6. reboot to finish the installation.
