ATI 9500 Pro

Was suggested I come here for the uninstall utility, so is this much different than rage3d?

Had some mod files, but that's not important right now, unless someone cares to add some info (Have not loaded them -BIOS). No, don't tell me it's a hard mod, it's not.

But for some ease & comfort can someone direct me via links to the best drivers for this card, based on win2k Pro & another drive with XP Pro, if that matters:

The card was sold as a Saphire, but had an ATI fan/sink & was made in China Infen 3.3 memory. ATI hard~stamped on the card, with a sticky Saphire label & Saphire CD.

DX9?
CAT3.4/3.6?
Uninstall drivers..!

Intel 2.66@3.34 on piped air, Twinmos 512mg BH5@466 ~2.7v

Cheers

-Got dwnload confusion, so I hope this works....

{Edit} Seems, I'm not the only one in trouble....

Latest drivers

Installed latest ATI control panel
DX9a
CAT 3.7

Why did I post in the 1st place? Had Black & White loaded, played then just quit, was told the drivers were not current, huh! It ran ok for 6 hours, just quit loading of the CD after 5 plays.....

No difference with the latest drivers, so this is supposed to be the site for answers, ok, I need one.

I deleted all reference to B&W (including reg files) reloaded, 'it' still sees the old drivers, but everything else on the system does see the new drivers (including the OS win2k Pro).

I'm getting annoyed, can't get an answer or even a possible answer, from either EA or a forum.

I like B&W...But this is getting to be BS, after two weeks of trying everything. Had it loaded 1st on XP, the reason I loaded onto 2k Pro, was it wouldn't run after it did...

ATI 9500 Pro

GURU needed.

cheers

You do realize B&W was intended to never run on XP? Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? I like the game as well, and have yet to experience any problems.

Finally...a response!

Necrosis Anything is better than being left in the Light. B&W ran fine for 6 hrs on XP, then the CD would not load the game. 2K Pro ran & then just quit, in the same manner. I ran the CD patch 110 to begin with & after the problem, even tried 120.

So, am I missing something? Perhaps with the updates?

Appreciate your reply Nec, I was about to give up.......

The Updates for this game are odd, and flaky to say the least especially that one for that stupid P5 glove. Hmm I think I have a solution to your problem, and it would no longer require the game to be loaded from the CD. Check your PM's in a minute.

Well!

Necrosis Looks like a crack is in order....I don't like to go down that road, but the claim from EA is win2k compatible & after several emails. Nothing constructive.

"Patch fix" (No CD120) - Ver 1.0.0.1 =ERROR ~Dynamic link IFC22.dll ref: sys32/ATI Control Panel/Norton.

Had to uninstall update for Sound '97 to get rid of an error load off "factory CD", attempted to load 'fix' but as you can see; CD120 does not 'like' updates either.

I have had many EA products and this is nothing new for them, made good games but are next to useless when it comes to compatability. To make a point this game was bought in June, this year, the documentation relates to five year old compatibility tables. Guess they don't like their customers!

*TapTap*

Thanks

Now this is exactley why

People get pissed off enough to do their own thing, I tried to be 'Nice' & went through EA ~Guess it's a case of fix it yourself or get screwed. Damn, and 'They' wonder why a crack is needed in their britiches!

I don't have the code, but I'll bet I can get it. Have spent a lot of money with EA and this...is simply NOT acceptable, don't take my money & run..

Ok, so I'm about to go DarkSide....Wonder why?

Spent many, many hours fixing problems with software, on a ligit basis...I'M PISSED! Go figure....

I have the same card, 9500pro, 3.3NS ram.

Install the latest Omega 'HACKED' drivers, they boosted my 3dmark01 score by around 1500 points.

even tho this isnt a sapphire 9500np, the mod still worked pretty good

Tek

tek Link it, the last chance EA gets from me...........I don't want to screw this up, why? Because I'm very annoyed & if this won't work; well I'll take care of it myself and feel redeemed!

Ok..the reason I ask for the link is that some links have not worked...So, before I get radicle I want to be sure I get the right file, from a good dwnload site.

Cheers

make sure you back up your current, non-cracked executable before you overwrite it.

Lets see if I missed something?

"Unfortunatly the game was made when XP was in its infancy and 2000 has never been a platform for gaming. The game was made to be compatable with Windows 95/98 2000 and ME. The reason XP is not listed is because when the game was released its compatability with XP was un reliable and therefore it is not recommended. We apologize for the inconvience. "

~{%S} and 2000 has never been a platform for gaming
..........The game was made to be compatable with Windows 95/98 2000 and ME

Excuse me?

I don't have a problem with 2000, but I do with idiot responses from a manafacturer claiming compatibility! My games run just fine thank you very much EA, except yours!

*************************
tek, I'll change the driver base over, again -Can't do it till the weekend though.

Oh, sorry, but yes, I had to flash the 9500pro bios to a bios by some guy, I forgot his name, its a bios made for 9500pro's with 3.3ns RAM, it basically transforms it into a 9700pro in the namestring, and allows me to overclock the card without losing the overclock on restart.

And some other stuff, but I did this so long ago I forgot...

Here is the link for the new Omega drivers, make sure you install the 'HACKED' versions.
http://downloads.driverheaven.net/om...mega_2478a.exe

And here is the link for the bios, but I could swear I got my bios from somewhere else, where you could pick your memory rating (3.3ns), too bad I deleted my ATI 9500 folder in My Documents cause im an idiot, so I lost the bios and the backup bios, but all works well.
http://www.3dchipset.com/bios/ati/warp11/index.php

But remember, IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR VIDEO CARD DURING BIOS FLASHING, anything can happen man, just MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR OLD VID CARD BIOS before flashing to the new one.

I think you do all this with http://www.3dchipset.com/bios/ati/flash/index.php

HAVE FUN

I have those files, just not used them yet. I'll look when I get home. On the disk I remember Iwrote 345/648.

WarGun ~ I'll send them if you want 402kb / 104kb & 53kb {Regedit, flash -Bios} to 9700 Pro, from 9500 Pro I know from reviewing that if it's kept around 340/640 95% chance of no artifact, need to have extra coolong (HS) on the card as well, prior to flashing....That's where the artifact came from, to much heat.

Thanks, Tec ~Now I know I have the right file.

Once again....

I did as instructed, but just knew that was a done deal! Told by EA to download the patch from FilePlanet, ok, ok *Sigh*. Have the company tell you to use a third party fix and in the same breath state that it's not supported, that's sorta like the original reponse: "It works with 2000, but it won't" so now "Go here & get the patch, but we don't support it and it probably won't work"

This is nuts!

OK... i'm not sure WHY i never saw this thread before..... however, this is what i know so far.... Under windows 2000... the game runs flawlessly....... under windows XP pro.... it works flawlessly... But if i remember correctly, only with the old version (using CD).. as soon as you update.. you run into problems.... Now i've gone through a pile of stuff...and the ONLY way to play the game is using an Updated crack..... Now i have one that will work... it's V1.100 (latest version of the game).... and it works like a beauty.... with all of EA's games... i've only been able to get the games to even remotely run using cracks..or various methods that should NEVER have to been done.... and don't bother waisting your time with EA... they have zilch for support...not to mention downloads for any games over 2 years old..... (that should be made ilegal).... What i do..... if i'm interested in a game BY EA.... if go on the net... find out all the latest updates...find the latest info on problems.....and then figure and guess if my system might have the same symptons...

I have a few questions so that I could get the best performance out of my card. Can a "Made by" ATI Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB be made to run close to or like a Radeon 9700 Pro? In addition, what is the best option to choose when installing the drives. There is a list of three: 1) 9500-9700 non-hacked drivers. 2) 9500-9700 hacked drivers 3) 9700-9800 hacked drivers.

What is the max for overclocking the 9500 Pro without extra cooling? I have seen 330 for the core and 303 for the memory. What are the steps for overclocking?

Thanks in advance for any info.

So, the fileplanet V1.100 works, because I used the V1.200 and that was dead in the water. I'm assuming the load off the original CD is the "Old' version or are you refering to the V1.100 using cd off fileplanet? Yes, I went a full circle with those idiots at EA, I can't figure out why they even bother responding. So, what are the site links to get the latest updates, that then apprarently don't work (the older version works?)

Can you link which file or PM & send it?

Follow the link off the original page (page#1) ~I have those drivers, if you want, but first look at the comments and then decide if you want them.

Cheers
