Cat 3.7 + 9800se

Hi, i have a Radeon 9800se and a read in other Forum that Catalyst 3.7 would be compatible with this Radeon, previous Catalysts werent compatible. But when i try to install the 3.7 i get the same error that i used to get with previous Catalysts. Anyone know if i cant install 3.7 with 9800se?

What kind of error are you getting? Can you write down what it says exactly?

It says that there's an error with the INF file and can't install the driver.

Then I can only suggest to wait for Omega 3.7, because your card seems to be third-party (is it?) 9800se.

Normally 3rd party cards can use the official drivers, I only wanna know if someones has a Hercules-card and how it works with the new drivers

Yes, I know, but that's not correct for all cards (if you look at the inf in Omega drivers, you will see some of third-party cards which aren't supported by official INF, even they work with the driver after INF is altered).

DOWNLOAD a driver and unpack to the ATI directory (C:\ATI\SUPPORT\wxp-w2k~~~~~~~~~"
after it unpacks and you get the BIG RED ATI install screen, and lisence, CANCEL THE INSTALL
Find the directory mentioned above and keep browsing (i.e Driver\2KXP_INF) till you find the INF file called
"CX_1073?.inf". This is for XP and the number vary depending on what you download
Open this INF file for EDITING. Notepad or whatever.
Find the [ATI.Mfg] section. Should look like this, < a REAL CATALYST inf is much longer. I have removed a bunch of lines>

I changed the INF and i could install, but only through device manager/update driver, couldn't use the ATI setup. But now i'm getting a problem with Comtrol Panel, i can istall it but when i reboot, windows says that Control Panel has a problems and closes it. Is there any fix for Control Panel?

I am using Elsa 9800 SE(128Bit). Running at default Core Freq 325Mhz, Display DDr Mem 250Mhz. It come together with the free logitech optical Wheel mouse!! Cost aroung RM80... Great bundle!!!

I run the 3D Mark 2001SE result is 10,600 on P4 2.4Ghz at 533Mhz(133MHz with 512 DDR2700, MSI Sis648)
in 3Dmark2003 result is 2800

After using the Omega driver, it change to 8 pipelines and it runs perfectly without artificial!!!
3D Mark2001SE = 11800!!!
3d Mard2003 = 3570!!!

But i have some problem in Unreal2, some f the object/building flashing!!! 1 second appear and another second vanish in thin air. Is this the artificial by changing from 4 pipelines to 8 pipelines? I use the omega artificial tester to test the display, it give no error... What is the problem here??? Please advice...
