Full Panoramic display ?

Im new to the dual head displays but i have seen the panoramic dispays on the dual desktops befor and i have just gotten a radeon VE 64 meg dual head I am on an AMD Ath 1000 512 megs of ram with windows XP pro when i installed the drivers (both Cd or updated from ATI) i didnt get an option to use a panoramic .. it will only let me do sul monitors as 2 different desktops basicly with the single monitor style look is there some trick to get it to do the pan style desktop between the 2 monitors ? and i am just missing it or can this not be done with this card on XP ... i think i saw that it can be done with win2k but i didnt really want to drop back to 2k just for my monitors. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated
