Control Panel
Hi
I just formated and installed the 6107 drivers. Then i used the control panel install files from the previous leak (6102 or what it was) cause i didnt find one for the new drivers... but i get the old style menus.. why?? I really liked the new menu style. Anyone knows anything about this ??
I'm using winXP and it was the ati 6107, no plut/omega driver.

happens to me too. I'd suggest installing the official 6094 drivers and getting the proper tabs etc and then uninstalling JUST the driver portion and installing a newer driver.

uh.... nevermind. I just tried it and it didn't work. I think that ati has made some form of hardcoded "feature" that won't install the newer tabs unless the control panel installs with the driver it was released with. Either that or ATI has done some screwy things with its installers.

Fix to get control panel with 6107 drivers
Open regedit and go to hkey local machine\software\ati technologies\desktop\(and your display card key) mine is {0E95D078-8331-42FC......}
Then add 2 new DWORD values, New3D and NewOGL and set them to 1 (hexa)

Its the ATI "tabs" that you see in Display Propeties->Advanced
They've been seperated from the main driver to make the downloads smaller. In theory the control panel won't need to be updated anywhere near as much as the driver itself
