Same problem here. Closed it down & went into the folder & clicked on setup.exe. It ran until it couldn't find the ATI2vxg(?) cat. (or some such). Gave me a box to look for the file. I knew the file was in Windows/system so I pointed it there & it found it & installed.
Upon restart it went thru the BIOS/post screens but I got a black screen @ Windows loading. It took a GF2 PCI card, safe mode & an hour or so to get the AGP card (8500LE flashed to 9100) working in Windows again. I've reinstalled the 2.5.88a.
When I extracted the 2.6.09 I got a box saying I didn't have admin/exec privileges (or something) to access the files. It did extract them to a program file, but as I said > that was knackered.
1st time I've had a problem installing Omega drivers & I wonder if it is related to the new server (dl speed was real slow (2.6kb/sec) for my 56k connection) or the file itself. I'll try another dl today & see it it extracts properly. If it doesn't > 2.5.88a works real good.

u dont need to wait until it get it fixed, just u must have cat 3.5 already installed, then when trying to use the omega 3.5 and the installer tells u to put second disk skip that and go installing the drivers manually where u decompressed the omegas and when it ask for ati2***.vxd just skip it and it will went just fine (well, it has worked fine for me, and other users)

Jav, after having the same "Disc #2" issue, I tried downloading the files from different sites (3 in all), and all have had the same issue, do I really don't blame the server!
If you install the ATI 3.5's, then run the install, it'll be ok. The file it's looking for will already be installed. I just did this, then did about 6 runs of 3DMark2001 without any issues.

I ended up downloading the drivers again from 'Judas' and still getting the problem. Does everyone get this or is it just a few of us?. Also the Omega3.5's I downloaded from here only weighed in at 9.something MB's. Is there a problem with your server here?...

So I have to dl & install the ATi 3.5 for the Omega 3.5 to install properly!? Never had to do that before & hope this isn't a sign of what will become normal (2 dl's for Omega install). 1 of the main reasons I use Omegas is because ATi Cats have buggered my system before & my 9700Pro didn't checkerbaord before the 3.1 Cats, but it did after. I haven't installed an ATi Cat since & really don't want to. Sorry Terry, but that is the way it is for me.
I'll stay w/the Omega 3.2a unless someone can convince me the 3.5 Cat & 3.5 Omega are going to be a major improvement on my 8500 flashed to a 9100.
Thnx all,

Install the Omega 3.4 that is what I am using until Omega fixes his 3.5. It will get fixed. Are you having any issues with the driver you are using now?

I'm having no problems on either of the two versions of Omega's CAT 3.5 drivers. I have an XP machine and a 98SE machine. I installed the official CAT 3.5 files first and then proceeded to install over them with Omega's drivers.
I'm the one who originally posted that you can install on 98SE and, when you get the Insert Disk #2 message, just cancel the install.
Now, go to the Program Files folder and open the newly extracted files for the Radeon Omega Drivers v2.6.09. Open that and then double click on the Setup.exe. When it fails to find the atiXXX.dll, just skip or ignore or cancel it. Let the install proceed.
And, as always, you don't have to do any of this if you prefer to wait.

Apologies then.
Have you checked the Program Files directory to see if anything was actually extracted?

Thanks for letting us know Omega & hopefully it is a small/fixable problem. Nice to know the error wasn't betwen the keyboard & the chair ... this time.
If it means anything > After the dl my dl speeds were real bad everywhere I went. I ran a virus scan & it found a Trojan Horse Downloader Virus. I *could* have picked it up a dozen places in the last week (since I last ran the scan), but ...
