exclamation No anisotroping filtering in SOF II ?

In SOF II Anisotroping filtering is the same with Trilinear filtering - no difference. Anisotroping filtering seems to not work in QIII engine in most cases... And if I sellect 2X , 4x or 8x is no difference.

I finally found my SOF II Disk 1 (It was sitting right in front of me!) I then updated orig version up to HOLD but now have various problems.

All settings for MultiPlayer result in missing textures (which is sort of great because I can see other players easily, but it's not really realistic)
High settings in SinglePlayer also produce same result. I'm using a RADEON 9700 PRO with latest cats. tried all sorts of settings (desktop and SOF) but problems is same. When textures are present in SinglePlayer the detail is very 1990's. When no textures the sprite detail is amazing.
I'll try going back to 4xAGP maybe that will fix? Otherwise could someone post a general 9700 settings script for RADEON 9700.

Quake and other games are just fine................

Try reinstalling the game. I had similar problems with SoF2 when I moved from an 8500 to a 9700 Pro.

I uninstalled and reinstalled again the game and no changes in my case. I switched from trilinear to anisotropic and in driver Control Panel - aplication preference or 4X/8x anisotroping filtering and was no difference. I noticed this situation on Catalyst 3.2 3.4 and now 3.5. Textures on the floors with AA looks the same with trilinear filtering.

Thanks OPENGL I'll try that as I'd updated it from original to GOLDLITE. Didnt have this problem before with 3.4s . 3.5s are no better and nothing not even lowest settings can get any textures on MULTIPLAYER.

What is really annoying is that all the sprites and weapons look so darn good! I noticed the health packs for instance are finely detailed. But if I get textures back in singleplyer they go back to a sort of basic look and weapons are all jagged.

Anyway will try a re-instal. I did notice one message once on multiplayer that said texture folder could not be found.
