ATI driver hotifx available for 3.5
ATi have a new hotfix for the Catalyst 3.5 driver set.
NeverWinter Nights - Display corruption or flickering around in-game objects
Some users have reported that with the CATALYST 3.5 driver suite installed, objects within the game may experience severe flickering.
Other OpenGL games may also be affected.
ATI Engineering has been advised of this issue are is investigating.
This issue should be resolved in an upcoming CATALYST release. The following uncertified drivers may work around the issue in the meantime:

I noticed some backgroung textures showing through on the Pro race driver multiplayer demo too-
Where should I report this? CM maybe?
Is there a certain forum or thread that would be the best place to report things like this?
Thanks.
*edit- WOW- 21.8 MB!? That is huge! I wonder why this is such a big download?

Report any bugs HERE
That is the best place to submit them as they go directly to ATI Engineers!

This hotfix is not WHQL certified. No hotfix will ever be certified. This set is basically the base 3.5 Catalyst with an updated OGL driver. Certification will happen in future Catalyst release (3.6...).

Does this mean a complete uninstall and reinstall, including driver cleaner and everything? Just like a completely new driver?? Or can you just install over top of old ones?

Zardon:
Thanks for posting this.
I was having probs with NWN and figured it was just that my system was hosed and I needed a reformat / reinstall.
I wasn't aware it was a whole new package and installed it over the old driver and control panel set.
NWN is working fine now, no other problems noticed.

Installed correctly so far (but I haven't tried OpenGL games yet)
But more important - I can't reproduce http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210439 with Mozilla

I installed the fix- It made my PC run like crap-
I tried some games- RTCW ET- tearing and very very jerky!
SOF2 MP- more jerkiness and much more tearing- I tried a million different setting combos- still tearing and shuttering.
Windows desktop slower. I had to completely uninstall the whole thing and use DH drivercleaner and then reinstall the original 3.5's-- boom, everything back to normal.. I don't get it- But I'll stay with the original 3.5's- can't stand the hotfix!
I may have to go back to the 3.4's if I run into any of the problems with the original 3.5's- but so far they are minimal compared to how bad the fix for them are.

It's nice to see ATI has released hotfix, but why have I download this big multilanguage package instead of small patch? Original Catalyst 3.5 takes less than 12MB (efg driver & efg control panel) and hotfix takes more than 22MB! Unbelievable!
Can anyone, who has downloaded that big hotfix pack, post fixed files (atioglxx, ... ?) please?

A hotfix? This is a 22mb Driver Download and they call it a hot fix. This opengl bug has plagued many cat. drivers, not good. The we read an interview that zardon conducted, I forget who it was with, but they said they would never release unsigned drivers 22mbhotfix/driver splitting hairs?

That interview would be with me, and we dont release uncertified CATALYST drivers. This hotfix is for 2 very specific problems that I felt would be worthwile providing a fix for based on the feedback we heard. This hotfix is not a CATALYST release and therefore is not certified. 22MB's is the size because all the componenets were bundled into one package.
Now when you say this OGL bug has plagued "many" cat drivers can you elaborate? As far as I know this OGL bug has not "plagued many" drivers just the latest driver which was out less than one week till we issued the hot fix?
Do you have a 9100 or do you play NWN? If not do not download and install this driver package

Not the Half-Life problems again
But while we're on that topic, CM, have you guys had any luck working with Valve to figure out what in their engine is causing so many framerate issues? You have to admit, the PR for ATi and Valve working together to fix a problem that plagues both nVidia and ATi cards would be pretty funny :P
