Omega-drivers or mod-tool?

Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum. Actually i'm new to the whole notebook thing. I recently heard about your site and it sounds interesting, because a few games don't work on my system. probably because of outdated videocard drivers. but anyway, here are my questions.

1 are the drivers on this site still being updated: plutonium XP, Omega?
2 which is better, modding the catalyst drivers or using one of these drivers i just mentioned?

my notebook: gericom masterpiece radeon.
specs: pentium 4 2.66 ghz
ati radeon mobility 9000
avance AC'97 sound
512 DDR ram
...

thx in advance

The Omega drivers are currently being updated, the plutonium ones are not. For the most recent Omega drivers, I don't believe they have already been modded for use on a laptop, so you will have to use Patje's CATALYST modder on them... so pick whether you want to use the Omegas or the CATALYST drivers (I would recommend trying the Omegas, and if you have problems, using the CATALYST 3.5s), then mod them with that tool.

Well, I just installed the catalyst drivers. after using te modtool offcourse and my problems are solven . Thx for this great tool, Patje
but i still wonder. what's the big difference between omega drivers and catalyst. which do the ppl of this forum recommend. my problems are solved but if omega will increase my performance or anything i'm willing to try it out.

The main purpose of Omegadrive's drivers is to improve game performance....not benchmarks.
