Help - XP for ATI Mobility 2600 on Asus F8sa
Hello --
Please excuse this newbie if this has already been covered somewhere else. I just "Down-graded" my Asus F8sa to Windows XP Pro. Everything works great EXCEPT the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600. I've tried using Mobility Modder.NET with 2 different drivers I download from the ATI website (8-5_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_63030 & 7-12_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_55811). I modified the driver without any problems. I also verified that the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 entry is in cx_63030.inf. However, when I run the modified driver I get the following message.
"Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software."
I know this notebook has the ATI Mobility Radeon 2600 in it. I have verified this using other tools. Has anyone here been able to successfully get the Mobility HD 2600 to work with XP Pro? Please Please Please, tell me how you did it.
Thanks Much,
Michael-95032
