Pollog and PollSt?
Hello,
I have the new Catalyst 3.4's installed and running with no apparent problems. After installing them, I noticed that now I have two text documents on my harddrive. One is called Pollog and the other is called PollSt. I opened them to see if I could tell what they were and they refer to something called CNTService. Does anyone know what this is all about?
Any help is much appreciated.

Yes it's a fault in the drivers, MR CATALYST MAKER reported this in the forum at Rage3D, it seems that the log's are for the driver team at ATI and they forgot ti turn it off in the CATALYST 3.4's.. Anyway MR CATALYST MAKER ensured us that it will not happen again in the future... Everytime you reboot your system the log files are deleted, so everything should be alright if you reboot your computer.

Thanks for the info DNA-Killer. Strange though...they aren't deleted when I reboot. In fact, I deleted them and then rebooted and they came back.
Anyway, thanks again for the background info on this.

They're created when Ati2evxx.exe is started (ATI Hot Key poller service)
Perhaps you disabled it

You can't disable the logging (unless you disable the hotkey poller service) because it's for debugging and was accidently left in the drivers when they were released. They reset themselves only when the service is first started so they aren't using up any harddrive space or resources.
Just try and ignore them till cat 3.5
