Serious troubles, going crazy....

hey all... having some serious difficulties with my Radeon 7200.

I just formatted my comp and installed all the freshest ATi drivers. I went to install the war3 frozen throne beta only to have my display shut off when it went to download the patch. the only solution was to restart. this happened several times. so i decided to just stick with war3 origonal, but i had the same problems. so i went back to older ati drivers to no avail. Then, last night i tried to watch a dvd only to have the same thing happen, freeze with display shut off. I thought the problem might be directx 9 or something else driver related, so i formatted again and installed catalyst 3.0 with all drivers, MMC, WDM & DVD associated with that release. Just tried to run a dvd... same problem.

somebody plz help

Other stuff
via 4 in 1 4.46
newest SB Live! Drivers

and that about all i installed up to this point.

thanks.

I saw this problem on a HP pavillion, we did a restore setup defaults in the bios and it seems to be corrected.
