laptop

i am looking in this drivers for laptop features.
one i want is to be able to control the primary display. i want it so i can configure how it decides what monitor to make what display and depending on the monitor, what the res it.
like i want it so if i set display 1 as my laptop monitor, its wide screen, if i change it to my external monitor, it becomes 5:4. also i would like quick ways to change it, like closing the lid on the laptop auto turn off that display and turn on the lcd.
and i dunno if this is a limitation of just my laptop but i noticed i cannot have the external monitor and tv output on at the same time, even if the laptop screen is off.

Welcome to the forums Matt271!

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

Most laptops don't output both external video and external computer monitor outputs at the same time.

Unless you set up a macro for it you're probably going to have to just change resolutions and set cloning/expansion options in the video card control panel.
