I believe that driver is 4 or 5 years old, right? That might be the problem. Why don't you try something a little more recent. Something in the Cat 6.5 range should support your card.

Just wondering .. Why the hell would you need 100FPS ??? As long as its over 25 its as good as 100.

*cough*...
because that's what he wants... your personal preference vs his have no weight here. While i would agree that a minimum of 60fps is nessary.... and the 100 is a fair bit over the top....... that's what he wants.. that's what he was able to obtain....... now he's essentially toast in that the driver is no longer supported all around and needs to be updated.

Well. I'm not familiar with that game, but would a 9550 be capable of doing 100fps in it? That's also assuming that the rest of his system is also up to the task?
Those ARE pretty old drivers. I just went to the AMD/ATI site and if you do the 'lookup' it points the 9550 to the Cat 6.11s here: Catalyst™ 6.11 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition I'd suggest that you start with them, and work back if necessary.

CS 1.6 is weak, any modern driver should be fine
& it's best to have massive fps in an online game, this isnt a single player rpg

OOOPPPSSSS
I looked again, and when I selected the card I hit the 9250 instead of the 9550 ![]() ![]() ![]() The site DOES send the 9250 to the 6.11s, but the 9550 goes to the 8.2s. Bad Buzzard...BAD
