That's the video acceleration dll, try uninstalling and re-installing, if it happens again see if the official drivers do the same.

Omega can I ask a question m8?
What sort of benchmark scores do you get with your setup?
Last night I ordered an Athlon 64 x2 6000 (3 gig), 2 gig geil ram and a new mobo. You have a slightly diff gpu but just wondered what I could expect.
Psu the same as my profile.

Ops, I forgot to update my specs here, check them now, updated.
As for my 3DMark scores when I had the old specs:
3DM06 = 6908
3DM05 = 13612
3DM03 = 23634
PCM05 = 6105
And you remind me, I need to update the scores on my about page with the new ones, hehe.

Haha!
Thanks m8. That should mean a major leap for me then! I will post sometime over the weekend when things are in place
They are almost double what I get now.
Thankyou for your response
Cool new spec btw

This new version recognizes my card as a Radeon X1050, and I couldn't view the 3D tab of the Display Properties; it would close on me... Then I ran DXDIAG, my screen did all the flashes, and it works... I guess it needed Re-Initializing or something along those lines... Other than that, it all looks good. I wish I hadn't sent back my Radeon HD 2600 PRO AGP now, though...

Both the CAT7.12 and the omegas keep giving me a VPU recovery error while playing some games or benchmarks.
Catalyst 7.12 would freak out of 3DMark06 and give me that error, and now that I have the Omegas, I'm getting it while playing COD4
The last time it happened I was able to catch it quick enough to Alt-Tab out of game and somewhat "reset" it by clicking cancel on it, but normally it complete freezes up my pc and I have to shut it off.
Any ideas?

System specs are:
Quote:
Intel Core2Duo E6600 Week 26 @ 3.6gigs | ASUS P5WDG2 WS Pro 0805 BIOS
2 Gigs Mushkin XP DDR2 800 @ 1000 | 2x150 Gig Raptors RAID0
Sapphire HD2900Pro 1Gig | Mushkin XP-650 Enhanced PSU
Lian Li V2000 Case & Custom W/C Set-up

It's a Sapphire HD2900 Pro 1Gig card that I overclock using ATITool 27beta4
I'm running it @ same speeds I have been for a while now which are 845 core 945 mem
Cat 7.11 never had this issue.

hehe, I always forget that the system specs are below the avatar
Anyway, try lowering the clocks to default and see if the VPU error happens, if it doesn't, well, time to check OC limits again

Perhaps your card has been running too hot already but only later revisions of VPU recovery spots it? Just a guess. Try without overclocking just to see.
EDIT: Omegadrive was faster.

Hi Omegadrive,
Reporting a BSOD. I just tried to play Medieval2 Total War v1.2 and this is what it listed as the problem file ati2dvag.
It said that the device driver got stuck in an infinite loop
Here is the Tech Info
Stop: OXOOOOOOEA (OX898A2820, OX8A1ED200, OXF78D2CB4, OX00000001)
ati2dvag
If your the wrong person to report this to then let me know and I'll report it to ATI as well.

If it happens with the official Cat 7.12 then you have to report it to ATI.

I reported it to ATI as well. I can not check the Offical ATI drivers as tehy dont work with Saphire cards or at least they dont work with my Saphire HD2600 AGP card. So I'll have you both notified this way.
Ok here is what ATI sent me

Dear Roger;
Thank you for contacting ATI Technical Support.
The best version for ATI AGP video cards still 7.7 yet. Remove all your ATI drivers and install 7.7.

Now do you have 7.7 omega drivers or something close to that Omegadrive? Or could I just get that ati2dvag file from an older version and add it to teh new 7.12 drivers would that work? Also If I roll back to the older driver do I need to uninstall your 7.12's first then install the older driver?

Thanks Omega for all the work you've done over the years (new to the site and didn't know you actually visited here). The Omega drivers fixed my D3D issues that I was having on a X850 Pro AGP card so just wanted to say thanks and keep up the great work.

When you select the AGP option when installing my drivers the 7.7 D3D driver is installed instead of the 7.12, that's why the drivers are working with AGP cards, when you select PCIe it uses the newer 7.12 D3D driver. Of course, there may still be problems since there are some instructions on the Cat 7.12 that may not work with the 7.7 D3D driver, so you may find that some games work perfectly fine and maybe 1 or 2 have problems that are not present on the standard Cat 7.7 or the Cat 7.12. Hope that is clear.
And yes, you need to uninstall the newer drivers to install the old ones if you need to.

Thank you for the excellent drivers, this time they install themselves automatically! Unfortunately I'm having a little problem with this driver (I think). I cannot see the temperature in ATI Tray Tools (latest version). Before, when I had the official 7.12 drivers installed, it all worked as it should. But now with the new Omegadrivers all boxes in System Tray Hardware Monitoring are greyed out for GPU temperature and Environment temperature and it says "no supported hardware found" in fan control. I have a Gecube X1950XT 256MB AGP and it worked perfectly with the older versions of Omegadrivers.

Could be AGP fix I included, try reinstalling the drivers and select PCIe as your card when prompted, see if it works.
