Profiles under Tray Tools / Startup Question
Hello,
i've installed the newest Radeon Omega Driver, and now i have 3 questions: 1) On Ati Tray Tools there are normally 2 default profiles: "Best quality" and "best performance" - but they are gone - where are the profiles?? When installing ATT seperatly i can choose "default 3D profiles" - does Omega does not install that? How can i get these default 3d profiles now?? Shall i install Tray Tools again over existing Tray tools or can i just install default 3d Profiles? 2) I removed ATI Smart and ati2evxx from autostart, and now atiptaxx.exe ("ATI Control Panel") too. Theres no difference, when i start atiptaxx.exe manually it DOESNT show up in RUNNING PROCESSES and nothing happens! Why do i need atiptaxx.exe? 3) I have a PCI Graphic Card, and theres no need for SmartGart, is that right? Cause there is no Smargart Service under services.msc. Can anyone explain this or can help me? Last edited by Skatermati; Dec 23, 2007 at 09:59 AM. |

arent those profiles just all the quality options to their min & max? you could easily make your own
what if that exe runs off a service, that could explain it not appearing, but i'm not sure

smartgart is only needed when using agp cards. it checks if the gfx card is capable of some agp specific commands (agp speed, agp writes, agp reads, fast writes...) and uses them if possible. |
