New to ATI Drivers...Please Help
I recently purchased an ATI 1950 pro agp card. I have always owened Nvidia cards in the past so I am not really familiar with ATI drivers. I have installed the latest Omega drivers aswell as ATI tray tools.
Basically my problem is that my colour settings aren't automatically applied when I start windows. However if I go into the control panel, as soon as I click on the "Colour" tab, my settings are applied. My question is, is there a way of applying these automatically without having do go into the tab everytime I start my computer? I can't understand why this happens, because the Omega driver control panel is autonatically loaded into the system tray on startup, its just that it doesen't apply the colour settings (by the colour settings I mean the tab where you set the brightness and the contrast, not the monitor colour profile). I've tried saving the profile, but this seems to make no difference. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Since you're using an AGP version, it will be best to use Catalyst Drivers based on version 7.6 or earlier. Since then, there have been numerous posts of problems with AGP cards. Hopefully, ATI/AMD will get the problems sorted out soon. In the meantime, there have been some success reports using the newest Catalyst 7.10s. But, your mileage may vary. If they work, the official 7.10s have been reported to have significant performance increases over all previous drivers. Good luck and let us know the outcome of your experience.
