Cool! Radeon Omega Drivers 3.8.413 (Cat 7.9.1)

Yep, incredible, new drivers out, about time I say!!!

What's New in Omega Drivers?
v3.8.413
[*] Based on the Catalyst 7.9 Hotfix drivers.
[F] Fixed support for pixel perfect 1366x768 for TV LCD users. (1360x768 was also re-added)
[+] Added new resolutions to fill the 16:9 gap between 1366x768 and 1920x1080 (1600x900@60hz and 1776x1000@60hz)
[+] Added a new pixel perfect 4:3 resolution for 1080p LCDs (1440x1080@60hz) for those games/companies that offer no widescreen support. *cough*EA*cough*
[+] Removed Overscan from DVI port, this means no more black borders when using DVI->HDMI cables/adapters to connect to an LCD TV.

Known Issues:
1) Since Overscan will be removed from now on from the drivers, if you need to connect your PC to a regular TV that DOES need overscan in order to view it properly, you need to install the official 7.9 CCC Control Panel from ATI after my drivers so you have access to the new "scaling" feature and scale the overscan to fit your needs.

What's new for ATI Tray Tools?
1.3.6.1047
[F] Fixed localization for CrossFire dialog window.
[*] Updated ini files handling procedures to be more compatible with Windows Vista.
[*] Improved compatiblity with IE7 under Vista with UAC enabled???

Get them on my website:
OmegaDrivers.net - Home of the Omega Drivers for ATI & NVIDIA desktop/laptop cards. By: Omegadrive

Enjoy!

UPDATE 10/06/07:
Well, confirmed by one of my insiders at ATI, there is a really strange bug running around with Cat 7.8 and up that is making all this mess with drivers not installing on some cards, mostly AGP cards.
I will see if I can find a solution for this personally or if I get a confirmation that it is indeed a driver's bug and will be solved for a future release.
In the meantime if you can't install this version of my drivers I suggest you install my previous version and wait for my next release.

Sorry for any troubles this may have caused,
Angel

Welcome back! I gather since your drivers are based on the Official AMD drivers there still isn't any support for the X1950 AGP series?

For cards that are not supported, you need to send me the card's ID so I can add it for a future driver set.
To find your card's ID:
Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and double click the first one, go to the 'Details" tab and on the "Device Instance Id" option, there write down the sequence up till "&REV_" part, then do the same for the second adapter (if there are 2).
Email me both IDs, your card model and bus type. (make sure to specify which string belongs to which adapter)

Done, your card will be supported on next release.

EDIT: In reading your monologue on your homepage I found the following quote: "P.S. No, no Vista drivers yet, I hate Vista so far, I will work on them thou, eventually..."

Answered my own question haha, if you need any testers for Vista x64 lemme know, I would be glad to help you out been a fan of your drivers for awhile

Wonder how these will work with my X850XT PE. The stock 7.9 ATI driver didn't work well at all with lockups and some other strange behaviour. Saw a slight increase in performance though when it worked so it would be great if this worked perfectly!

Think I'm gonna dare to test this.

Before re-installing, try deleting your current Monitor from Device Manager, re-install and after restart Windows should recognize the LCD again.

No dice..

Just updated chipset drivers, gonna reinstall again..

Edit: Nope, 3x of the System event log error after restart and same dxdiag errors. Rollback for me?

Edit2: Downloading the 3.8.360 drivers... Which work perfect...

Anything else you want me to try with the new ones? I'd like to use those obviously

Sorry to hear you could not install them, What error you get when you try to install? Does the ATI 7.9 Hotfix drivers do the same?

I only did 1 major change from my previous release thou, I re-did all the resolutions from scratch in order to support new modes, but I don't think that change could be causing it. Heck, just to test this wouldn't have any problems I did a fresh install of windows and the drivers, all working perfectly.

Works perfectly so far with my Powercolor X850XT PE.

The stock ATI 7.9 locked everything up, this hasn't caused any problems so far.

No real performance gain from ATI 7.8 though, not as far as I can tell. The 7.9's did show a bit of an increase up until they locked up.

Only 60 Hz available at 1440x900 on a SyncMaster 941 tft and x1900xt, whereas 75 Hz was available at that resolution with the previous Omegas. I don't notice any difference, tho.
