If you are getting this for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It just makes the game worse. I was getting 30-70 fps on stalker and I got freezeing every 15 minutes. Had to restart computer and When I got this I get freezeing 5 seconds into game and 20-25 fps if I am lucky
Amd athlon 3500+ 2.4 ghz oc
Sapphire X1950XT 256mb ram ( Pcie )
1.5gb of ram.
I am starting to hate Ati every video card I get has problems with a game I like. So far I have gone through 6 video card's.

Will we see more options for DVD and BR/HD DVD such as sharpening, deinterlacing:Progressive? Proper image upconverting (not just upscaling), etc. In other words I want more from my Cat then just 1920x1080 60Hz screen. I want my movie to actually be upconverted (no just upscaled) to 1080p not at 520p stretched on a 1920x1080 screen. Come on man can we get some help here? I also want some true HD/BR support here as well.In a nutshell more Avivo options and functionality. Also, it's time to endorse a DVD/HD DVD program player. Nvidia has put their name on TheaterTek as well as WinDVD with real support for Nvidia's chip. If you are going to use powerDVD (for example) there should be more options other then "enable Avivo". This is where ATI really need some attention. There are a lot of Home Therater PC'ers out there.

I found it quite the opposite. With 7.2s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was unbelievably choppy and unplayable, now it's great with only minor HD swapping. Other D3D games' performance also got better, for example, Infernal runs noticeably better. The sad thing is OpenGL performance is still abysmal and even the linux drivers (which were never very good) are leagues ahead.
My rig: PIV 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9500Pro, Vista Business.

The x1900 and x1950 series have problems with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
