omega driver with firegl v5250

hi, i'm new to this forum
i've read that it is possible to use omega drivers with non radeon ATI video card, such as the firegl v5250 i have in my ibm/lenovo thinkpad T60p laptop.

i'm a photoshop cs2 user, i don't play video games.
i simply want to have a screen resolution of 1152 x 864 with a refresh rate higher than 60hz, like 75 or 85 hz.

i know my old sony hmd a240r CRT is capable of this, because i had it doing this on a 5 year old desktop system, but the ATI driver i have now can not do this.

i have uninstalled all my ATI software and drivers, and tried installing the omega drivers, but they do not work. any ideas?
