Desktop Brightness issue...
I set my desktop brightness on the ATI Control Panel several notches lower because my LCD monitor is very bright. However, after playing some games and returning to the desktop on exiting, the brightness has automatically changed and gone much brighter. What causes this and why do some games only induce this?

I'm the opposite
My screen is darker than it was before since installing the 9700. I adjust the color setting to make it brighter. When I'm done playing a game and return to the desktop, it's darker than before.

I notice this with the ATi drivers too, and it suxs. My fix was to use Powerstrip.

Once installed just hold ctrl+alt and press + or - on the keypad to adjust. This works in games also so it's pretty sweet. Also check you PM's  |
