Omega Driver Problem

I installed the new ATI Cat32 drivers. No problems. Many games including Rallysport seem to run much smoother. I have had good luck with the Omega drivers and so I went ahead and loaded the new ones (a) based on the 32 drivers. They load fine. When I went to run Rallysport it starts up, gets to the main screen then locks up. I have to then reboot. I've gone back to the ATI drivers and it runs fine. I've had great experiences with Omega in the past and would like to get them running. Is there something I'm missing? I remove the control panel and then load the Omega drivers. I have not removed the ATI drivers (instructions indicate no need). Thanks for any suggestions.

That seems strange as one of the first games I tested with the new drivers is Rally Sport, and it runs like butter.
Try re-installing the drivers, it could be that one setting went wrong during the install or something.

WHat Smartgart settings you have with the normal ATI drivers and SG settings are shown with mine?

reinstalled directx 9.0

my new omegas seemed to be buggy, so I noticed that my directx 9.0 files were incomplete with older versions, I reloaded them and reintalled the omega drivers and the game played better and smoother, Omega drivers are mostly Open GL right? this is wierd, but it worked for me...I play Commanche 4 and IL2 forgotten battles...thanx

With ATI, agp 4X and fastwrites ON. I will check with yours tomorrow. Should I go ahead and remove both the control panel and display drivers?

Thanks

Ok, I removed the ati drivers and control panel and reinstalled the Omega drivers. Rallisport now works (very smooth!!!). The only issue, and so far appears to be only with Rallisport is the mouse. When I get to the start menu, the mouse curser is very difficult to control. It jumps around. So far it is only this game, not a real big issue. Thanks for the responses. High Heat 2004, Battlefield all run like a charm. Now if only I could figure out why MotoRacer 3 stopped working.......I know its not a driver issue. Thanks again.

Under trouble shooting? Full. The curser works everywhere else so far. I have this happen with previous drivers (though off hand I don't recall which).
