Comanche 4 and Radeon 8500 Question

Can somebody help me. I have a friend who has a Radeon 9700 Pro. I have a Radeon 8500. In Comanche 4 multiplayer levels, there is a level with an airport on the level. My friend says he can see airplanes in the hagers and sometimes airplanes taking off from the airport. I can't see these. Well, once, I set my resolution to 1024 X 768 in the game, and I was able to see an airplane in a hanger. But while my in game resolution was set to 800 X 600, I couldnt see the plane in the Hanger.

With the in game resolution set to 1024 X 768 there are still some things I cant see, but he can see them. I want to know if I need to set up my Video card settings in the Video control panel or something. Shouldnt I be able to see these thing, too? Or. is it just a matter of the 9700 pro being so much a better Video card than the 8500.

If anyone can help me with this, please do help?

howdy bro...I have an 8500 128, set the resolution to 1024 x 768, and I can't see anything in the hanger either, ha ha...never looked. I am using the latest and the greatest drivers from ATI, haven't tried the Omega's yet...game playing is just so much smoother at 800 x 600,,,,will try it and get back to you..and my system is so much older than yours as well..

(using WOLFBLITZ) as a pilot name..
to get all the levels...ha ha...
yup, I'm a big stinking cheater, ha ha.....
but I only have one good hand.
