Radeon 9600 Driver Installation Problem

I have Radeon 9600xt Pro GC-R9600(Pro)-D3H graphic card. I am using Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP2, P4 1.4GHz,1.12GB RAM. I could not install the driver for my graphic card. I downloaded latest catalyst software and drivers from ATI page I also tried the oldest versions but I got an error " Setup was unable to complete installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standart VGA driver before running setup" I tried to do it manualy but it also could not complete the setup and gave error " the data is invalid". Can you please help me
