Smartarse!
Before I even bother to download them, do you know if ATI actually fixed the installation problems that plagued the previous Win 98 set?

Anyone who's still running that Win98 crap gets what he deserves
I've got the 3.2 installed now. Installed nicely, and runs without any problems.
Btw: why can Layden use a custom avatar with only 48 posts, and I have more and can't?

I can't remember if he won a contest, or posted in one of DH's avatar give-aways (Zardon will occasionally open up a thread and give the first ten posters an avatar to celebrate happy things. ), or if he was just here when the site was brand new and it was like ten posts to get an avatar. (That's how I got mine! )
EDITED BITS: Changed "our" to "DH's", old habits die hard.

If got an avatar because I'm sensible and choose to use Win 98.
Nah, seriously. The avatar wasn't my doing. Zarathustra did it while he was still an admin here. If it bothers anyone then just contact an admin and ask them to sort it out.
So does anyone know if ATI sorted out the installer for the Win 98 drivers?

TO: Layden
I installed the 3.2 drivers without issue into 98se. The 3.0s always blew up with an infsetup error. and I coundn't even use update driver. The 3.1s crashed during install but update driver worked. The 3.2s went in without any problem.
I think the problem has something to do with DX. I installed DX9 before attempting the 3.1s. and ever since attempting the 3.0s I was plagued with the phone dialer poping up and tring to connect to the internet. But whatever that was all about it has stopped happening.
anyway cat3.2 in 98se working ok on aiw 9700pro

There are a lot of people over on the Rage3D forums that still have the same Win98 install problems (infsetup crash). The Win98 refresh rate problems have also still not been fixed.

Hmmm, it looks like it's a bit of a lottery whether the installer works or not. I think I'll download and give them a try anyway.

Thanks Dig, but I guess its up to the powers that be to decide its fate.
I installed the new drivers without any problems this time. Haven't had a chance to see if I get any performance gains with anything yet.
