squashed video with 3.8.291 drivers

First of all, thanks for the great drivers.

I've had the 'locked at 640*480' problem since the Radeon Omega Drivers 3.8.252 (Catalyst 6.5) drivers. (ATI - 640 X 480 @ 4 Bit Issue)

the latest omega radeon drivers 3.8.291 fixes this issue, but now whenever I play videos on any video player, the video is squished to about 4/5 of the height. I did some testing and found out this problem occurs when I set the resoulution to anything other than 1400*1050.
so if I use 1024*768, the video will come out like the one in the pic.

The window on the right is what the video should look like and as you can see, the one on the left has been squished up abit.

I'm running a laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700

so wmp, mpc, vlc, & others all squish it like that?

maybe there are some video options in ATT & stuff.... & what happens when you open a vid from a fresh restart vs opening a vid in 1 player, then another one in another at the same time

I just tested videos with Media Player Classic and it seems to be fine.
I tried playing the video in vlc on top of mpc but some problem happens. But when I play the video with another instance of vlc the video came out fine.
weird problem.
