System Specs

what card did you replace??
did you do a complete uninstall of the drivers and deleted all reference to the old card from the install directory and the registry.if you did not then changing to a new card can be quite the headache.

I believe some cards are having this problem with the latest OMega's. Read the official omega's 6.7 thread, you will see.

I still use 6.3 Omega's cause I have problems with newer ones.

According to https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...e&folderID=293 Catalyst 6.9 only supports Radeon 9500-X1900, not 7000-9250. Catalyst 6.5 at http://support.ati.com/ics/support/d...estionID=22264 should support 7000-9250. Radeon Omega Drivers 3.8.252 (Catalyst 6.5) or earlier at http://www.omegadrivers.net/archive.php should also work.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...ocessing_Units Radeon 8500-9250 belongs to the Radeon R200 series and only supports DirectX 8.1 in hardware. That's probably the reason why ATI has ceased support for these chips from Catalyst 6.6.
