9700 Pro Splinter Cell AA Bug
Friday I purchased this game.
However, I found this out. Shot is resized from 1280x1024 - 1024x768 I'm not in view of the burning building but I can still see the fire. It appears the only way to correct this is to turn off AA. Does anyone know if there is a way to correct this w/o turning it off? Hopefully this issue will be addressed in the next Catalyst release. I also would like to know who has also seen this problem and what your running for viddy. Update: It appears this may not just be an ATI issue. In the Splinter Cell Tech. forums it seems Nvidia users are experiencing this as well. I find it odd since I didn't have any problems with the first demo. I installed the lastest patch even before I played the game for the first time.

the same thing on my board (9700 Pro with Catalyst 3.1, XP with SP1, DX9), patch won't help.
i've also the problem with the demo, both works fine with 1600x1200 and no AA. i hope they find the problem. i tested it on my other windows (ATI Driver 6.28 WHQL and DX8, XP SP1), it's the same. has someone an idear ??? |

Would those of you without this problem please give us some more detail about your setup? AKA settings..drivers used and so fourth. I would honestly understand since this is a ported game (sorta) it "might" have problems with ATI cards especially with FSAA. However, Nvidia users are experiencing this same problem too. Now what what really is the clencher is not everyone has this problem.

I suffer from this problem as well, however turning FSAA off sorts it as does turing on nightvision and then turning off. But that onyl works for that area, it will reapear in anthert area.
On a side note does everyone get shitty performance when in nightvision mode with FSAA on? I have a Rad9700PRO |

Odd, i do not get that problem at all. The game runs just dandy
I always tend to run my games at first at the default settings for AA & AF and that has always been the best for my set up. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is just sweet. I have seen on other forums the same problem but the answer??
